Beginner Bass Lessons
Because of the old-fashioned method of teaching bass, many people have an image of a strict, regimented teacher drilling notes into unwilling children. Our aim however is to make our students to love bass and music in general, and in most cases we start students off with a repertoire of songs that are familiar to the student, which makes learning easier & more fun for beginners.
The fundamentals of music theory, bass technique & performance are covered in every lesson. We encourage our students to play a range of musical styles as they progress, to open their minds and keep students interested.
Intermediate To Advanced Bass Lessons
The more students are immersed into the ins-and-outs of both technique and theory, the better for their musical development. Moreover at this stage, in addition to the private lessons and the group rehearsals, we typically get our students into live performances on stage.

There is no clear-cut answer to this question, and it really depends on the student’s own motivation more than their age.
Lessons for young learners (students under 6) focus on the fundamentals of music, which can be built upon as they grow. For more mature students learning for the first time, the focus of lessons will be on styles you are interested in bass! Whether it is Jazz, Popular Music or Classical, we want to see all our students grown into talented performers.

We have a program called Little Wing designed to be playful, attention-getting, and confidence-boosting in order to get preschoolers motivated and happy to play bass. Preschoolers taking this program will also learn the basics of rhythm and notes through a positive and fun experience to help set the right tone for the students future in music.

We specialise in bass lessons for adults and we can teach you your favourite songs, how to read music, theory, or just about anything you’d like to learn about the singing.

We have all undertaken a Government certified “Working with children” police check, and you will soon discover we are very friendly and patient with children to make students comfortable with learning at their own pace.

How long does it take to learn to play the violin?
There is no set answer of how long it takes to learn to play the violin.
With regular practice, a basic level of violin can be accomplished in a few months. Most of our students take lessons on a long term basis because they want to be constantly improving and they find the lessons enjoyable.
I don't have any musical background or ability. Can I still help my child practice?
Yes. Even if you don’t have a musical background you can ask the teacher for advice on how to help your child practice the bass.
By simply monitoring that they are doing exercises a certain number of times per day the student will progress.
Parents will occasionally sit in on their child’s music lesson to get an idea of the proper way a song should sound or how the student should be positioning their body.

We offer bass guitar lessons for all skill levels, ages 7 and up. Our standardised curriculum covers key elements of bass guitar instruction, from hand positioning, finger and pick technique to scales, slapping and improvisation.

Standardised Curriculum
Music Lessons Australia’s curriculum is based on a progressive advancement model. This proven method provides a well-defined roadmap of the material covered and skills taught so you can easily track your past and future progress.
Since we use the same curriculum in all locations, students have the flexibility to take lessons from any instructor at any of our locations and progress through the same content.
Our program is fun but challenging–both for beginners and serious musicians who want to improve their existing chops.

PERFORM AT THE END OF YEAR CONCERT.
A unique program where you are placed in a band with other musicians, learn three to five songs and ultimately perform a concert for your friends and family.
In the program, you are matched with other musicians at similar skill levels.
With the help of an experienced band coach, your band will learn a few songs and get tips on performance techniques.
After practicing two hours per week in one of our rehearsal rooms, your group will perform a concert on the last Saturday of the month.
